Secret of a long life: Ever Green – rejuvenate body and mind with nature

Have you ever felt that when you go out for a walk in nature, you feel relaxed in an indescribable way? Many people may not know the exact reason, whether it is just imagination or the atmosphere itself. In fact, many studies have proven that spending time in green spaces provides more benefits to both physical and mental health than expected, leading to what is broadly known as ‘Green Therapy.’ These activities affect bodily functions and the release of substances that improve overall health.

Today, REAL ASSET would like to introduce the benefits of spending time in nature, and you will understand why we emphasize the ‘Ever Green’ concept, which promotes living close to nature. We intentionally allocate sufficient green spaces in every project, allowing residents to spend time outdoors and breathe fresh air whenever they wish. We also encourage residents to engage in gardening and consume chemical-free vegetables, fruits, and herbs by providing edible planting areas within the common spaces of the projects.

Reducing stress levels: Engaging in activities in nature can stimulate the release of brain chemicals that reduce stress. When you take a relaxing walk, breathe fresh air among trees, or do simple gardening, your body releases serotonin and dopamine, known as happiness hormones. At the same time, cortisol levels, the stress hormone, decrease, making you feel more relaxed and cheerful.

Strengthening the immune system: Many studies show that spending time in nature can strengthen the immune system. Research in Japan found that women who spent at least three hours a day outdoors had increased white blood cell counts, helping the body better resist viruses and diseases.

Improving eyesight: Looking at green trees and plants is an excellent way to rest your eyes, especially for those experiencing eye strain from long screen time. Experts recommend briefly focusing on greenery to relieve eye fatigue. Researchers also found that people who spend at least two hours outdoors per day are four times less likely to develop myopia.

Easier sleep: Exposure to natural sunlight helps regulate the body’s internal clock. Staying indoors without sufficient sunlight can disrupt this rhythm. If you have difficulty sleeping, spending time outdoors, relaxing among greenery, and absorbing natural sunlight can help reset your body clock, making it easier to fall asleep at night.
